After crossing into France on our drive we noticed the landscape changed a bit. The French countryside is beautiful. We made it to Lyon a bit late, so we saw a few sights downtown and then headed to dinner before calling it a night. Side note: the public transportation system in Lyon only accepts change, no bills, so be prepared (we were not)!

I'm not sure what building this is, but it looked cool all lit up |
My dinner: Lyonnaise sausage |
The next day, before continuing on to Marseille, we explored Lyon a bit more. We went to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere, followed by the Gallo-Roman.

This was built in BC times, waaay old |
P.S. Happy birthday to my beautiful Mommy!! Her two kids were enjoying France while she was enjoying a camping trip in colorful Colorado :)
